FSCT’s delegations comprise of Lt.Gen.Dr. Weera Wongsan (President), Pol.Lt.Gen. Mongkol Kamolbutra (Vice President) and Miss Sasimas Punnarat (Secretary) including 171 representatives from 45 primary cooperatives in Thailand had a study visit at Credit Union League of Hong Kong (CULHK) on November 29-30, 2016. The mentioned study visit, from FSCT’s Funding Department, is in the project “Cooperative study visit and Seminar 2016 for Depositor’s members.” The visit aim at improving and developing the ideas and vision to savings and credit cooperative movement in Thailand by learning from CULHK general information on management and credit union movement in Hong Kong.
Credit Union League of Hong Kong (CULHK) is the representative association of the credit union movement in Hong Kong. It was formed in 1966 by the existing 9 credit unions to face the challenges and to further promote the credit union movement in Hong Kong. CULHK is now part of the international credit union movement. It is member of the World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. and Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions. Its visions are to promote credit union movement and philosophy in Hong Kong and Mainland China, and to advocate credit unions as being non-profit organizations for providing personal financial management services for Hong Kong citizens. There are 3 types of Credit Unions, totally 41 CUs (33 are members of the League) and 87,634 individual members as following;
