FSCT’s representatives attended the webinar on the theme of Asian Digital Financial Symposium for Credit Unions virtually on May 27, 2021. This joint webinar hosted by World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), the National Credit Union Federation of Korea (NACUFOK) and the Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU). The purpose was to learn from credit union systems that have successfully implemented digital platforms for their members and provide tips to credit union systems seeking to achieve their own digital transformation. This webinar would feature presentations from NACUFOK in Korea, Sicredi in Brazil and National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO) in Philippines.
v The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed a divide between credit unions that can provide members with access to remote financial services and those that are limited to providing only in-person services. It has also amplified the need for more credit unions in Asia to embrace digitization in order to provide their members with safe, convenient online and mobile transaction services in the future.
