Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU) has collaborated with National Cooperative Bank Ltd (NCBL) to organize the Virtual Credit Union Study Program on July 5, 2021
         Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU) has collaborated with National Cooperative Bank Ltd (NCBL) to organize the Virtual Credit Union Study Program on July 5, 2021, featuring Nepal Multipurpose Cooperative (NMC) in Nepal. The 230 participants were from various countries such as Philippines, Australia, Mongolia, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, etc. The program was about NMC’s member, core business, financial performance, size, challenges, products and services, and its journey. 
          Nepal Multipurpose Cooperative (NMC), as a member cooperative of NCBL, is a multi-purpose organization that established in 1994. NMC has started its business from eastern part of Nepal where is Jhapa. Now, NMC is operating in 3 districts of eastern Nepal, namely Jhapa, Morang and Ilam.  For over 25 years operations, NMC has been able to serve around 100,000 members with total assets base of 120 million USD with more than share 10 million USD paid-up capital. Its assets base mainly consist of deposit of 84 million USD and credit portfolio of 90 million USD. Besides, it is not just only financial business, NMC also mainly ventures in dairy products, tea and cooperative shop.
          Besides, NMC provides digitization services to its member such as mobile banking, QR code, smart application, ATM, etc. NMC also promotes the women empowerment, social responsibility program and any other activities to society. NMC so much concerns and need to add the value to people and its member.
